The South Carolina Digital Academy is an initiative of the University of South Carolina Libraries. The purpose is to create awareness of the wealth of digital resources that are offered by the University Libraries and libraries across the state. Moreover, the project is designed to help K-12 classroom teachers begin to incorporate primary and digitized sources into their standards-based curricula.
The lessons and document-based questions are available to offer strategies that can engage students of all ages, which is a much-needed benefit in the age of standards and accountability. Browse by Grade Level under the title to take a look at what we have to offer!
Note: New DBQs have just arrived! Thank you to all the South Carolina teachers that created these during the summers of 2017 and 2018. Thank you to the National Archives for their generous NHPRC funding for their work.
