    • On July 17, the Parris Island Historical and Museum Society presented MIRC a check for $200,000 onstage at the Beaufort Water Festival. The check included $100,000 in matching funds for every dollar MIRC raised in one year through June 30, 2018. Learn more.
  • WINTER 2017-2018

  • JUNE 2017

    • MIRC completed scanning and placing online all the film shot at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island August through September 1961. Watch them online here.
    • The Parris Island Historical and Museum Society generously offered to support the funding of two film scanning technician positions for the period of one year at MIRC. Additionally, they offered to match all donations received through July 2018 at 100 percent, up to $100,000.
